i-Heart (Extended Hours)
i-HEART Barnsley 365 is designed to help patients access same day appointments during the evening and weekends. The service has created additional appointments enabling patients to receive medical advice outside of standard GP surgery opening times.
i-Heart Extended Hours appointments can only be booked by calling 01226 242419
Our phone lines are open from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Monday to Friday and from 8:00am – 9:30am on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Appointments are available at BHF Priory Centre, Chapelfield Medical Centre and Oaks Park Primary Care Centre.
Appointments are available at the following times: 6:30pm – 10:30pm Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 17:00pm Saturday & 10:00am - 14.00pm, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Please note that appointments cannot be booked by going directly to these surgeries or Oaks Park Primary Care Centre.

The Federation is also the provider of the Out of Hours service for the whole of Barnsley. We provide clinical triage and home visits and access to GP and ANP appointments across sites in Barnsley between the hours of 6:30pm to 8:00am, Monday to Thursday, and then from Friday 6:00pm through to Monday 8:00am including Bank Holidays
Access to our team arrives only after a patient has called NHS 111 who will provide an assessment before referring to the Out of Hours team.
GP Streaming
The Federation provides a GP Streaming service within the ED Department at Barnsley Hospital. Working in partnership with the ED team an initial assessment will be made by a qualified Clinician who will then direct appropriate cases to our GP service which is located next door to ED.
