BHF publishes 22/23 Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) statement

At BHF we recognise that the effective prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HCAI) is essential to ensure that patients using our services receive safe and effective care. To this end, we make comprehensive prevention and control an integral part of our everyday practice and we apply it consistently across all our workstreams in order to ensure the ongoing safety of our patients.

The Statement covers details of any infection transmission incidents, actions taken and lessons learned, any IPC audits undertaken and any actions taken as a result, and details of any issues that could represent a risk to our IPC integrity. It also includes details of all staff IPC training that has taken place over the past 12 months in the organisation, plus an update on our IPC policies, procedures and guidance.

The 2022/2023 BHF IPC Statement of Infection Prevention & Control will be published on our four practice websites: Highgate Grimethorpe, Goldthorne Medical Centre, Highgate Shafton and Brierley Medical Centre.
