Do you care for someone in Barnsley?
Many people caring for a loved one don’t realise the additional support on offer to help them live a happy, healthy life alongside their caring role.
We’re hosting a free Carers Roadshow on Friday 9 June to provide support and information for people who help look after a loved one in Barnsley.
This will be a great opportunity to speak with a wide range of different people working with carers in our borough. The event will be your chance to:
• Talk to health, care and voluntary staff about what support is available in your local area.
• Find out practical information about what services are in Barnsley, from housing and mental health support to dedicated groups where you can speak with other carers.
• Connect with other carers who may have similar experiences to yourself. • Share your views on the services you access, helping us to understand what is working and what could be improved.
• Have a cup of tea on us whilst getting a chance to check out Barnsley Market.

When should I attend the event?
Our Carers Roadshow is a drop-in event, attend as much or as little as you like. Lots of great organisations will be set up in Barnsley Market from 10am until 2pm.
