Do you care for someone in Barnsley?

Many people caring for a loved one don’t realise the additional support on offer to help them live a happy, healthy life alongside their caring role.

We’re hosting a free Carers Roadshow on Friday 7 June to provide support and information for people who help look after a loved one in Barnsley.

This will be a great opportunity to speak with a wide range of different people working with carers in our borough. The event will be your chance to:

• Talk to health, care and voluntary staff about what support is available in your local area.

• Find out practical information about what services are in Barnsley, from housing and mental health support to dedicated groups where you can speak with other carers.

• Connect with other carers who may have similar experiences to yourself. • Share your views on the services you access, helping us to understand what is working and what could be improved.

• Have a cup of tea on us at our Priory Kitchen Cafe.

When should I attend the event?

Our Carers Roadshow is a drop-in event, attend as much or as little as you like. Lots of great organisations will be set up in BHF Priory Centre from 10am until 3pm.

Who will be at the event?

We have a great selection of local organisations and charities offering a great selection of physical checks including , advice, support, activities, and more.
